Comedians
Ā
Rachel Morton-Young (HL)
Rachel Morton-Young is an energetic Brit, based in Utrecht. As a scatty Mum of two who thrives on organised chaos, her life is a constant source of inspiration for the comedy she writes and performs. Rachel is the owner of Mad Cow Comedy and a regular on the English-speaking comedy circuit; she organises and hosts the International Comedy Showcase in Utrecht and Bonoboās open mic in the Hague, as well as performing frequently at comedy clubs throughout the country. She has played at several comedy festivals and, last year, took her first solo show āOrganised Chaosā to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Ā
Carly Blair (MC)
Iām a not-your-typical-American American whoās been trying to shove my square peg-shaped self into Amsterdamās round hole with admirable, or perhaps foolish, persistence for the last decade or so.
Ā
Maeva Dolle
Meet Maeva. A French & Dutch yet English-speaking comedian. Her comedy has been de-scribed as āfoul mouthedā to āreally niceā. Now thatās range. When not on stage, you can find her consuming copious amounts of cheese and engaging in self-debate on which cheese is the snobbiest.
Maeva has been performing comedy throughout the Netherlands as well as in London and Paris.
Ā
Kunal Waghray
Kunal stands out as the fastest-growing Indian origin comedian living in denial. Although this may seem like an oddly specific group (which identifies itself as urban poor), it's precisely this unique combination that sets him apart and helps him excel where there's no competition. Dry and deliberate in humour, his monotone paints a colourful picture and packs in periodic punches.
Ā
Rael Eleonora
Rael is a stand-up comedian born and raised in the Netherlandsāthough you might not guess it right away. His diverse background is not just a part of his identity, but also the running joke in his journey of figuring out where he truly belongs. With a mix of storytelling, sharp punchlines, and a fast-paced delivery, Raelās comedy ranges from borderline edgy to downright silly. His self-deprecating humor explores the experience of growing up between two cultures while trying to find his place in the worldāoften with hilarious results.
Ā
Zoe Ntonta
''Zoe is a budding new comedian with relatable jokes and an uplifting stage presence. As an energetic storyteller she enjoys engaging with the audience and laughing at her own jokes. She canāt promise her jokes are always the funniest, but she can reassure you they will be heartwarming.''
