ACCESS

ACCESS is a non-profit organization run by volunteers who have experienced the expat journey themselves. For over 35 years, they’ve been helping internationals with: Personalized support for questions about settling, living, or leaving the Netherlands. FAQs and a helpdesk (available in-person at IN Amsterdam or via email). Practical resources such as First Aid courses, childbirth preparation classes, and volunteering opportunities. ACCESS provides empathetic guidance for navigating life’s challenges as an expat, making it easier to feel at home in the Netherlands.

IN AMSTERDAM

IN Amsterdam is the official office for international newcomers in several municipalities, including Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Almere, and more. They offer assistance with: Municipal registration and official procedures, such as the 30% ruling. Guidance on permits, including the Orientation Year and Startup permits. Information on employee rights, benefits, and settling into local life. They also organize regular seminars and events—online and in person—on topics like employment, taxes, housing, and education.
